Two historic Catholic schools in Jacksonville’s Northside were under major duress. A plan was devised to merge the two schools to form Guardian Catholic School, serving students from pre-K through 8th grade in an area of the city with the largest statistical concentration of residents living in poverty. A brand story, planning for a capital campaign, and strategic marketing efforts were needed to achieve its $10 million fundraising goal.

ruckus was selected as The Guardian Catholic Schools agency partner in 2015 with an initial focus on developing the brand story for the organization and developing a theme and communications plan for its upcoming capital campaign. “Build the Dream, Guard the Legacy’’ launched at a private event at the Brumos Museum in February 2016 and set the stage for the campaign committee to utilize a variety of ruckus-developed strategies and tactics to engage previous and new donors in making a financial commitment to build the Guardian Catholic School of the future.
The successful campaign raised more than more than $10 million over the course of 16 months, bringing new donors and levels of engagement and awareness not previously attained.
